I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful holiday season with
family and friends. It is hard to believe in four months our
show season will begin so start fitting your horses as it will
not be long before the sun is shining and winter blankets are
just a memory.
OAQHA was so excited to see the
overwhelming response to the bling hat fundraiser that was
offered in 2011. We do apologize to those Amateurs who missed
the opportunity as 100 hats were sold in only 2 circuits! As
promised, the embroidered OAQHA hats will be offered again in
2012 at OQHA Banquet and Convention at the Amateur meeting on
Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 8:30am. Please come out and
support your Amateur association by purchasing a hat or by
joining the Executive. We are always looking for new members
and fresh ideas.
OAQHA will be looking for a new Executive in 2012 as the
President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary are available
for election. These positions hold a 2yr term and also available
will be the promotional area Director positions which hold a 1yr
term.
As my term comes to a close in 2011 I’d like to
thank all the OAQHA Executive for their hard work and those
Amateurs that supported our fundraising events over 2010/2011.
I have enjoyed meeting new Amateurs within Ontario and I look
forward to continuing to support our Amateurs throughout Ontario
in the future.
